Steven Udvar-Hazy, CEO of the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), will step down from his position today and be replaced by John Plueger, the company’s president, as acting CEO. Udvar-Hazy co-founded the world’s largest aircraft leasing company in 1973. ILFC is part of the troubled US insurance corporation AIG that was bailed out by the US government in 2008 and is now under control of the Federal Reserve Bank.
